This Year’s Amble Dedication
This year's Ammonoosuc Amble is dedicated to Charles F. Thibodeau.
"Charlie" unexpectedly passed away in November. He was the President of the ACHS Board of Directors at the time of his death. He was a consummate defender of our mission, advocate for our patients, mentor to our leadership and staff and accessible to all of us.
His volunteerism within the organization was exemplary. He would drive to Concord with ACHS CEO Ed Shanshala to meet with legislators or attend a hearing on behalf of ACHS; he was at every ACHS Board Committee meeting, reached out to be accessible to the staff at all 5 ACHS sites; and he served on the Amble Commitee and was a presence for many years at the Ammonoosuc Amble, filling race bags the night before the race, parking cars and washing dishes on the day of the race, always ready to help - regardless of the task!
He proudly served on the ACHS Board of Directors for over seven years, leading the organization as our Board President during the past three years. With Charlie’s passing we have lost a great friend and wonderful colleague. He will be truly missed.
The following is an excerpt from his obituary reprinted with permission from the Littleton Courier...
